4500.00, Just got it home yesterday, 47,000 miles. Supposed to be numbers matching. Factory 4 speed. Floors and frame solid. Runs and drives( needs gone over). For the most part complete. Needs some rust repair, not alot. Is it worth it????

Thats all I have so far. I was on the road all day Saturday going to get it. I unloaded it yesterday and got it in the garage. Interior is all there and nice. Drivers seat bolster is worn thats about it. Has a Hurst shifter in the factory console. Ill get more pictures this week. I have to get an out of state inspection and then Ill start rippng into the engine bay. Didnt check numbers yet, Kind of a rush deal, If I didnt take it someone else was gonna. Bottom of car is solid no floor work needed. Needs driver rear quarter patched and some suface rust from what I can tell so far. But the car is for the most part complete. Wont be able to do to much till after Christmas, but after that ts open season.:D

usually better to ask if a car is worth it BEFORE actually buying it....but that seems like a nice ride

and I love those wheels - hopefully they're 15"

^ ^ ^ ^

lol, true that

It MUST be worth it because someone paid it (you) :)

As they say, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay ...

Pull this gas tank. Then you will know. That is where that sneaky rust hides. If no rust there, you really do have a good deal.

Im having the drivers side lower quarter panel replaced right now. I should have it back on monday. Ill post more pics and some questions for all the 74 owners. No sure if I want to retore to original or restomod it. I have to go over engine and trans numbers first to see if they are in fact original. Ill post the question and pics on Monday ( if I have it back ). It is a cool car for sure. I love the second gens. Big Bumpers especially...

IMO, I wouldn't mod it. There's not that may 74's that I see on the street these days.

If the car is indeed low miles and numbers matching, I would definitely restore to factory original. Not many of these around anymore because everyone modded the heck out of them back in the day.

I agree with COPO, I wouldn't mod it too much. Perhaps paint and correct stripes which is my favorite stripe scheme!!! Start a build thread. Would love to follow it.

UPDATE
i recently purchased this car from the original poster in Cleveland. He started some body work as stated but I completely striped the car to do a frame off rebuild and removed any prior body work and replaced with sheet metal. Iv'e only had the car since April but hope to be completed by June. It is a numbers matching Z28 car, engine, trans, have matching vin numbers. Plan to build a resto mod. Car is going to be built as a period correct hotrod for 1980 want it to look like the type of muscle car I owned shortly after high school. Planning to run cragar 5 spoke wheels. Motor has already been rebuilt dyno tested at 375 hp. Will post some pics shortly.
