I've talked with Matt Conte and he has started producing the rear 3 piece high spoiler and front RS spoiler for the ERTL 1:18 1970 Camaros. He has a lot of time into making the molds and needs to start selling these for the production to continue. He also has the standard front spoiler and wants to make the mold but needs to know that these will sell before he continues to invest his time into developing these.

These spoilers are not listed on his website so you will need to order by listing which spoiler(s) you want. The price of them is $4.00 per spoiler and the shipping charges are below.

1.00-10.00 $3.50
10.01-20.00 $4.00
20.01-30.00 $4.50
30.01-40.00 $5.00
40.01-100.00 $6.00

A bunch of us wanted these made so we could make some custom diecast models of our cars so we need to start placing some orders for them from Matt. If you want them to use now or if you might want to in the future, order them now...

You can place an order via 2 ways.

1) By mail, go to Matt's website http://www.geocities.com/lookoutmodel/index.html and print off an order form. Indicate that you want the 1970 Camaro high rear spoiler or front RS spoiler and how many of each. Also indicate if you would like some standard front spoilers once they are produced so he can get a feel for demand.

2) By credit card, go to PayPal and send payment to lookoutmodel@uswest.net and also indicate that you want the 1970 Camaro high rear spoiler or front RS spoiler and how many of each. Also indicate if you would like some standard front spoilers once they are produced so he can get a feel for demand.

Here's some pictures showing what the spoilers look like and also a picture of one of these diecast cars customized with the spoilers. These spoilers are the finishing touch needed to replicate your car...

Thank you Dino.
We have been casting resin 1/24 & 1/25 model car parts for 7 years. We take allot of pride in what we do. It takes 4-6 weeks for you to get your parts, because we do not have an inventory of parts. We make as we get orders in. This way of doing our parts, helps us keep the quality of our product high. If it is not good, It goes on my model. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
If you are not familar with resin parts, you need to know that it is not like injected plastic. You have to do some work to it. It is not allot, but if you are not a model builder. You may not know what to do. We clean most of the flashing off( the paper thin material created by the mold halfs put together)and other things. You will need to clean the parts with warm, soapy water. DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF CLEANER. NOTHING BUT WATER AND SOAP! This will get any oils and other film off the parts caused from the casting process. Lightly sand with 600 grit wet/dry sand paper. Primer with Plasti-Koat primer/filler. That is my recomendation. It is what I have used for 15 years on models. You can get it at Pep Boys. After that you can use any type of paint you want.
Also, with resin. It is a two part Ployurithane resin the we mix together and hand pour. There is no hot injection, like plastic parts. Because of this sometimes you will have tiny pin holes in the parts. That is little air bubbles. We try to prevent this by pressureizing the resin when they are in the molds as a liquid. We get most of them out. Sometimes they are so small, you can use a little spot puddy on them. Annother thing you can do, if they are a little larger, is use baking soda and super glue. It hardens, and fills in an instant. It sands easy too. We work hard into not having this, but it is good to know these things.
We try to make the parts as clean and as easy for you to paint. We just feel you need to know about this stuff if you never incountered resin before. They fit on the models very well.
If you need any tech help with them, please feel free to e-mail us. We will be happy to help in any way.

How do you attach the front RS spoiler? I need to buy one of these, and have someone paint a white SS to look like mine. Dino does your buddy still do them for you? Also have you found anyone yet to do the SS 350-396 stickers??? You the man so let me know, thanks..........

The spoilers fit nice and tight to the body so a bit of glue should hold them. I'm waiting for Matt to get me some of these spoilers so I can have my buddy try them out. I've been holding off on getting any more customs done until the spoilers are ready so I don't know if my buddy has the time for customs currently. I'm having a guy try and replicate the Z28 striping and emblems but he's really backed up. I'm sure I can get him to add the SS 350-396 emblems in the future. You could probably also use some decals from a plastic 1:24 model kit...
