I just picked up the white '70 SS (in the Z28 box) this evening at my local diecast shop. They also had a black SS, standard front end, and a brown Z28/RS. I'd like to get both of these at some point, but I was wondering how rare/scarce they are and how long they've been on the market. (Am I likely NOT to find them later?) I decided to get the white one today because it is a "limited edition." One at a time!
Damn, these things are addicting...

Gary, all 3 of the ones you mentioned are Limited Edition pieces, @ 2,500 pieces each. ERTL didn't put that on the black and copper ones though. The black and copper have been out for @ 6 months so I would suggest to pick up the ones you saw if you can get them for a reasonable price. The white one just came out last month.
All 3 of these were only available through ERTL "hobby shop" dealers. Most are sold out of the black and copper, including what MadMike and me are working on....

Thanks, Dino! The "just released" white one was $32. The other two were $24 each. Go figure. He only had one of the white and two each of the black and the copper. Another reason I bought the white one first. Funny thing is he didn't have either the black or the copper when I was there about 3 weeks ago. Guess I should check to see if he has a "back room."
I actually wanted the black one because I don't have a standard nose yet.

$24 is a good price. I'd grab both of them....
