I figured I would re-cap the diecast 1970 Camaros that ERTL has already put out and what they have published as being in the works.

7128 citrus green Z28 (released 1999)

7129 red w/ white stripe Baldwin Motion (released 1999)

32464 hugger orange Z28 (available through Toys R Us only, limited to @ 10,000 pieces, released 4/2000)

32515 black SS 350 (available through ERTL dealer hobby stores only, limited to @ 7,000 pieces, released 7/2000)

32516 black cherry w/ white stripe Baldwin Motion (available through ERTL dealer hobby stores only, limited to @ 7,000 pieces, currently being released)

32408 copper w/ black stripe Z28 (available through ERTL dealer hobby stores only, limited to 2,499 pieces, currently being released)

32636 SS model, color to be determined (limited to 2,500 pieces, expected release 1/2001)

36524C Baldwin Motion, color to be determined (Joel Rosen/BM signature series, limited to 2,500 pieces, expected release 3/2001)

I generally do all of my diecast business through www.tommytoyz.com (http://www.tommytoyz.com) and highly recommend him. He is currently having a blow-out on the 7128 citrus green Z28, on sale for $14.99 each.

I have pictures of all the cars that have been released on my homepage if any of you want to see what they look like.

I bought one of these last week at "Test Track" in Disney World (don't ask what I paid for it, I was on vacation). I noticed when I got home yesterday and was looking at it that it had Florida plates on it. Neat, i thought! Closer inspection of the plates revealed the tag # started with a 10- and then the rest of the tag #. Back in those years, Florida tags started with a # that indicated which county the car was registered in. Well, 10 was for Broward County which is where I live. Even neater! I know thats probably just a coincidence but was wondering if they all came with the same decal for the plates or are there some different ones out there?

Oops! I guess you did mention quite a few Dino. My bad. The first one (7128) Citrus Green 70 1/2 Z28.

I assume they're all the same. Something like 10-20WK4U. Here's a link to some pictures a dealer has on his web-site of this car. http://www.diecastmuscle.com/7128.htm

I couldn't make up my mind - so I bought 1 of each Camaro I saw (that I didn't already have).

Dino - being a dealer or connected with these folks, see if they can provide our group with some sort of deal for different flavors of these models.

Also, what's the possibility of them making 74-77 and 78-81 style cars?

Let's see if we (especially the model collector heavies) can get something going with these people.

Mike, I'm not a dealer. I just currently havce a lot of time on my hands to keep up with these things. I'll passyour requests on to Tom and see what he says. I know that he's thinking of doing a LE 2nd Gen Camaro early next year with ERTL......

Tom got back to me and said that as long as a current die is used, it's doable. The paint and wheels can be changed. He said if 1,300 could be pre-sold before the order is placed, it could be worthwhile.

Wayne, the cars I listed at the top of this thread are the only ones I know of. They've all been @$25-35. I've been able to get them all through tommytoyz but have seen them at other diecast vendors sites....
