I have had both and for a couple of months now...

Anyway I bought them just to have em but they both look like crap. The 77 looks tons better than the 70.

The best small scale 1:64th 2nd gen is the green matchbox Z28 RS with white stripes.

There is also a hot wheels camaro in pearl white and also ina racing pattern but these also don't look as good

Johnny Lightning has released a 2nd version of their Camaro collection. It's basically the same molds but different paint schemes. I agree with Jeep43 about their quality.

Matchbox actually released a 1970 Camaro in their Premiere Collection that's dark blue w/ black stripes and rubber tires. It blows the green one away. You can see all of these cars on my homepage if you want to see what they look like.

Well I'm just glad someone is making them. I did'nt get the chance so far anyway to buy either of the Matchboxes. But for 2.99 they J.L. are'nt that bad when you consider that up and until recently nobody was making them. I love my 70-73 cars but they are not as popular or ever will be as the 67-69 so be happy that atleast they are making them. The 70's are reaching the 30 year mark when thats over i would'nt count on seeing them around or mass produced again. So point being if you want one you better get it now, if you want to see a really bad die-cast get HotWheels and compared to them Johnny Lightening kicks ass! Also as far as i know its the ONLY SS out currently. So as a service to others here, i just wanted anyone in the market for either the 70 SS or 77 Z28 to know of the availability of said items. Hopefully we'll see more J.L, Matchbox, ERTL versions of our favorite generations but probably only if they sell well..........

My JL 1970 SS/RS just came in today and just so you all know, there is no SS reference on the actual car at all. The emblems on the fenders say "Rally Sport 350".
