I have a 1970 Camaro but the front subframe has been replaced once in its life, I need to replace the front coil springs but I see two different types, 1970-72 and 1973-81, and since I know my sbframe has been replaced by one of its previous owners and since I have the clamshell engine mounts, I suspects its not the 70-72 type, how can I make sure of that? what should I look for to figure it out?

There should be a date code stamped on the driver's side frame rail near the back mount. Have a look thru this thread:

The front coil springs will fit either subframe, just get the ones for your model, i.e. 1970 with x engine and x options.

I just checked the stamping, it says 625731 , I think its a 1973 subframe, but I need someone to confirm it.
