Hey guys, I made a post to see if there was any kind of electrical wire conditioner to make it less brittle. Well.. my wires seem to not be SOOO bad after all, but my question NOW is.. what is the best chemical or solution to use to clean the ends of my wiring harnesses that aren't covered by the GM electrical tape? Any wires that are going to be in the engine compartment should be complete clean!

Thanks,

I have used GO-JO to clean the wires and it works great. Go the extra and remove the old tape too, clean, and retape. It will look so much better when your through. And, it's not that much work.

I used wax & grease remover. The stuff you buy at an auto parts store or body shop. It doesn't leave behind any residue and strips off the gunk lefy behind from electrical tape
