Hey guys. I have a friend that just traded into an intake. It it a four bl, dual plain. The casting #s are 14044836. It also has the winters snowflake on it. I can not find any info for it. I was also wondering if there might be a chance that it it a copy or repro. It looks a little too nice for it,s age. Any help will be appreciated..Johnny

Some aftermarket manifolds were cast by Winters. I have a Holley Strip Dominator on the 75 and it have the Winters snowflake. The manifold was produced during the 70's. DOes the manifold have GM on it and a casting date?

140xxxxx numbers are later model stuff. Does it have an EGR? Most 140xxxxx intakes will. That number puts it somewhere around early 80s by its sequence.
The old performance parts will have 38xxxxx or 39xxxxx numbers.

Thanks guys. The intake has a bow-tie on the top ,behind the carb pad. It has a rectangle that should have a date stamp on it but has not been stamped. There is a spot for an egr, but it is not drilled out. I thought that the 14044-- was the GM casting #. I'm thinking that it is definately an after market..Johnny
