Ron, my 09B early 71Z has a 0F29 #2049 dist. in it also. Most of the original engine dating is all in June. I also have another #2049 dist. I recently picked up that is earlier in June. I would say that GM certainly could have started using the #2049 in later production 70Z's. Would be interesting to see if any other 70's in that time frame have it documented as original to the car.
