The 71 VIN doesn't tell you anything. The engine codes weren't added until 1972, so you will have to find other ways to document the SS package on this car.

The VIN is for a 71 Norwood car built around the third or fourth week of May, so the trim tag should say Z27 on it.

Speaking of not real, take a look at the trim tag on this Ebay special. First one that I have ever seen without rivets or holes where they should be. This is a 71 with a Z27 tag from somewhere!!!

That trim tag does not appear to match the VIN. I have info on a car that was #527143 (his is 526942) built in the 4th week of April and his is only 201 cars before this this and built in the 5th week of Jan., only 201 cars in 12 weeks. That tags looks glued on, its a fake SS.
