1972 models had no Cat Converter. The Dog Converter was optional though. No seriously the Camaro's did not get Cats until 1975 I think?

what about that pollution can that hooks to the carb, i think its for the fuel overflow. Also has a line that runs to the PCV and then onto the intake vac. Mine dosnt have one, dont know if its came with one. And then theres the EGR valve? I have an aftermarket alum. intake and it has no prevision for it. And then there was a exhaust trap door on some exhausts operated by a vac line.
Is there a place i could download this info, to keep as evidince to get me off the hook.

The 72 will have a charcoal canistor that catches gas tank vapors. And it'll have an EGR valve.

That valve on the exhaust showed up in the mid 70's.

I don't know if there's specific emissions diagrams in the diagram section of the site. The 72 assembly manual will identify all the emissions systems on the car. As will the 72 emissions label that goes on your radiator shroud cover.

Then again, you're in Canada. I thought the canadians were a little more lax with emissions than the US.

thanks I,ll look around some more to find the diagram section. They are riding pretty hard on the emmisions now, ina effort to cut street racing. They somehow think its us
We do race from time to time on a country road, 1/2 hr from the town. Its the stock type cars, and the ricers that blow up and down the streets in town. Most of these wont get beat for emmission crap. Most hotrods I know in this town can respect the power under the right foot!!!
thanks for responding guys
