hey guys i've got a '76 camaro that has the motor replaced. the last owner thinks it's out of an early '70s nova. it's a 350 with the casting # off the right front pad of block # V0319CRX . could someone please help me with the "CRX" part. the other was
V-flint (engine)
03-march
19-19th day
CRX-

CRX suffix code can be as follows:
1975 350 155 hp 4bbl A or B body cars
1975 350 145 hp 2bbl F or X body cars
1978 305 145 hp 2bbl G body
So if in deed it came out of the Nova (X body), then its the second one.

CRX signifies that the motor came out of a '75 Nova/Camaro/Chevelle/Monte Carlo/full-size Chevrolet. It did NOT come out of a '75 Corvette or Monza. Safe to say you ahve been told the correct info. BTW it was rated at 155hp in the larger cars and 145hp in the Nova/Camaro.
