That's right...while my car was stored in front of our house! I have a 1973 Camaro Type LT. My boyfriend had decoded the tag and remembers some of the info. I know there are a few companies that make tags. Who do you recommend? We plan on making the car a Type LT/Z28 but will not "fudge" #'s on the car to make it a fake...besides, I do not plan on selling it anyhow. It's my baby! Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Shelly

the company is apropriately called "trim tags" I'm not sure if I have their phone number but I will check, I got it for a customer of mine a few years ago..
They require a bit of documentation from you to supply a new tag.
I've never seen one, but apparently they are good, and they have rivets too.

Unless you know all the numbers that originally were on it, replacing it doesn't make much sense.

You don't need a trim tag on the car to drive it. It just was the place that documented the trim codes and a little other information.

Making up a new one without all the original numbers could just confuse you in the future if you need paint or interior codes.

Personally, I would just use the car without it.

here a quote from the site

<font face="Arial,Verdana" size="2">Note: We don't have a problem changing paint codes, trim codes, convertible/vinyl top color codes, or option codes. We will not change "STYLE" numbers (i.e. convert Tempests into GTO's, Cutlass' into 442's, six cylinder cars into eight cylinder cars).
