I'm looking at a nice '71 for a friend:

I know what it all breaks down to, but my question is.... if Z28 isn't on the tag, then it's NOT a Z28? The car has the straight, full front bumper. Then original engine is gone but it has a factory manual tranny. I didn't know what else to really look for other than it's got an 8.5" rear.

:EDIT: I went back and read past threads. I guess it's not a Z unless the accelerator is floor mounted. We'll look.

Don't waste your time, it isn't a Z28.

Thanks Bob.... I didn't think so from what I've read. At least now we know what the guy should or shouldn't be asking for the car.
