Hey guys im going to look at a 79 badged z28 later this week. According to the pictures its badges as a Z but one of the major things that threw me into disbelief is the lack of the Z styling kit. I looked through the Vin decoding info on the main page and came up empty handed on anything that specfically says the car is a z28.

What should I look for in the VIN # when when I talk to this guy to verify that its a Z. I am not all that concerned about its originality as it has many performance mods to begin with but my dad insists we buy only a Z. Can anyone give me a little more dumbed down version of how to decode a VIN to check for Z authenticity then whats on the main page?
