need help decoding trim tag car is 1970 camaro, orange with white stripes, black interior , 4 speed

Hey joejr, your tag decodes as follows:

st70 = year 1970
1= Chevrolet
24= 8 cyl Camaro
87= 2 door coupe
nor= Norwood Ohio assembly plant (hence,this is why you have 28.10 on your tag Van Nuys built Camaros don't have this)
208832= I simply the body sequence # this won't match vin #
TR711 = black standard interior
6565= paint code in this case Hugger Orage (nice color)
03A= it was built first week in March
.28.10 (THE GOOD STUFF!!! indicates a Z28 the .10 is the stripe color in this case you should have white stripes.

The 12487 decodes as it does in the cowl tag but the re 515665 is the # coming off the assembly line so the Camaro next inline after yours was #'ed 515666.

FYI

1970 Camaros VIN sequence started at 500001 and went up from there at both Norwood and LA. This would have been the 15,665 Camaro built in the 1970 model year at Norwood, Ohio.
