If you ordered a 1973 Type LT with Z28:

If you ordered the stripes, you got Z28 badges on the fenders and type LT on the sail panel.

If you deleted the stripes, you got "Camaro" on the fenders, Type LT on the sail panel.
I'm not sure about the front/rear emblems.
BobR - can you add to this or double check it?

Mike,

It goes something like that. However in my experience is that there was so much confusion on what went with what, that just about anything went. I have seen the 1973 Z28 LT in every possible Badging Configuration. Throw in the RS Package and it got worse...

Wow, another senario......
I've still yet to see a type lt73z
that came with z28 badges.
I haven't seen one with factory stripes either. (It would have the paint code for stripes on the cowl tag with
the different s vin code.)I'll keep looking...
Maybe next; z28 emblems with tilt wheel
and radio delete.

Here is my question. I have a 73 Rs Lt Z28. I am in the process of restoring, I rescued it from a junk yard and its very complete and solid except for the drive train. The only emblem it has is a type LT on the grill. So should of it had the type LT on the sailpanels and by the tail lights? Z28 emblems on the fenders or Camaro? Or is either way correct? Another question I have is it has no holes for a rear spoiler in the quarters or trunk and no sign of them ever being replaced. Was is possiable to get a Z with a spoiler delete option? I have an orginal sales pamplet that states Z28's come with spoilers front and rear as standard equipment. Also the paint code is a -- does this mean anything special? It appears to have been a midnight blue car from the factory. Sorry for so many questions and any help is appreciated

The emblems have probably been filled
so with some research you could find out if it was a z28 emblem (2 holes)or camaro 350
(5? holes)the 2 dashes on the vin tag
mean its a special order color. Mine also has 2 dashes and is origional black.I have seen several type lt with the spoiler delete.
Remember it's for luxury touring. Also if it's ok with you I can e-mail a 73 article from car and driver that has your car.
Good luck on your project.
