I have a chance to buy a rebuilt 350 and was wondering if anyone can tell me about the casting #'s. The engine has 14016379 and the heads have 462624. The guy says it a .30 over 350 with an unknown cam (he says he ordered a mild cam but cannt remember the specs or the company name) and has stock internals. Its never been run and he showed me the $1800 reciept for the machine work alone but he lost the reciept for the parts. He said if I give him $800 its mine for the taking, so any input about this motors true identity would be welcome.

14016379 is a late '70s 350 block. 462624 heads were used from '71 to '85, various applications including Camaro and Corvette (and trucks).

$800 is probably a decent price for a fresh 350. My question would be how well you know the seller...
