but hey it's collectable!

so is the frozen dog poo in my yard this morning

the wheels on that car belong on a cargo trailer, not a Camaro

For $25K the ad should be more detailed...including engine bay shots (especially on a conversion with a lot of potential for hack job...and under the car, it is from NY after all).

The whole thing has period written on it - Clarion stereo, when was the last time that was a hot selling point?? and those wheels would have been cool 25 years ago. But then there is the BBC swap and 7004R...which screams 2000 plus (as it is wildly popular now but not so much before). It looks stock on the outside and asks for mint Z/28 prices (with low-ish mileage for a 30 year old car ~95K) but isn't. Depending on actual condition and quality of work I'd say it's over priced by at least double. I'd say $12K absolute Max and realistically - it is a sub $10K car

And how can you guys say it's a clean ride...all the shots are 25 feet away...I've seen a lot of turds look real good at that distance - in a photo.

"Collectable 1981 Chevrolet Camero"

Fairly rare 81 red deluxe cloth interior and someone chopped the door panels for speakers.

That looks like a "my wife is forcing me to sell it so I priced it too high to actually sell" special for sure.

Nope, IMO, he's devalued it with a BB.

Vinnie sure looks like he's proud of that car. Someone should call him (since he has phone# in ad) and tell him what kind of market these cars are in.
No way is it even close to being worth $25K!! Dream on buddy.

Sure, you got $25k I can borrow? LOL

I'm not sure if at the height of 2nd gen fever it would have brought quite that much. I watch the market and see similar cars for under $10k, some a lot less. You only need to find that one guy though that wants it and doesn't really care how much it costs.

Back when the market was better there was a 79 RS on Ebay that got bid to 12K+ a few times but never met reserve. The car was staggeringly clean,it had a 454 swap that looked factory with A/C I believe, the car was spotless top bottom, underneath, all over. It was 2 tone red and black and looked straight as a arrow. My only issue was a red interior. Tis car would have to be that nice to fetch 12K in todays market.

The going price for a car depends on only two things.
1. What the seller will let the car go for.
2. What the buyer will pay.

If he finds a buyer who is willing to pay the $25k, it is the right price.

I'm too cheap to spend that much money on any car. I'd have a difficult time paying $25k for my own original 70SS.

Maybe if it was a 70-73 in that cond.
