My 80 Firebird rolling chassis. If someone would take this off my hands I would have one less project to spend money on!!
351maverick 04-05-2011, 09:20:13 PM damn that is a GREAT price...wish I was closer....
K5JMP 04-05-2011, 09:26:19 PM damn that is a GREAT price...wish I was closer....
for a few bucks I can deliver:innocent:
rscamaro73 04-05-2011, 09:45:56 PM Dang....if I wasn't budgeting....lol....or trying to NOT be into debt...I'd get this. I have fixins for a nice motor too.
Car is set up for a 4 spd ?
BondoSpecial 04-05-2011, 10:56:18 PM Nope its an automatic car. I have all the 4 speed parts including a good transmission, pedals, linkage, clutch, flywheel, sold separately though if you want (in storage in the car in the pic woopsie). Front seats are not pictured but included.
Wayne if you wanted it I'm sure we can work something out...it's more about selling it so I don't build a third engine this year than anything else. If I have a car around without an engine I feel the need to fill the engine bay.
rscamaro73 04-06-2011, 10:46:06 AM damn you Steve...lol...you got me thinking....I have a perfectly good driveline from this Xploder here....engine to the rear...hmm.....
Blasphemy....I know....but its interesting....and I have some help local too ;)
MUST discuss this with the 'free spirit'...aka...wife, business partner ;)
BondoSpecial 04-06-2011, 10:48:05 AM I don't know if I can sell you this and have you put an Explorer engine in it! If you were putting an actual cool Ford engine in it like a 429/460 that would be one thing but a 4.6 sohc (or a 5.0 I don't know what year that thing is)....noooooo
rscamaro73 04-06-2011, 11:04:02 AM Its a 99..last year of the 'real' 5.0. Iron GT40P heads ;) All it'd really need is a cam a couple steps up and maybe some bigger injectors and a tune and it'd wake up. Be hauling alot less weight too....3.73 posi rear ;) And a 4spd auto ;)
Dunno...no reply from the wife yet.....might not be good. :p
BondoSpecial 04-06-2011, 11:06:33 AM Haha that might actually be a cool project. And what's this needing permission from the wife thing all aboot. Oh well. I can only imagine what your email said. "Hey this guy steve I know has this multi color Firebird that would look terrible parked at our house but I promise I will fix it up can I please have it"...
rscamaro73 04-06-2011, 11:16:12 AM Close...and she saw pix of it last night....lol.
So only time will tell....
BondoSpecial 04-06-2011, 11:18:14 AM Haha if she saw pictures all bets are off, you should have showed her a pic of someone else's much nicer one!
rscamaro73 04-06-2011, 11:30:23 AM She said I have to get some $ back from the van....
Ford is buying them back, so once I get some reimbursement for the rear axle repair....I'll take it down for them to 'discover' the rusted out front subframe when they do the 'rear axle repair'...lol....then I'll get paid for it...but I was going to try and get a Suburban (need the extra room with all the xtra kids I tend to haul around) so I dunno. More discussion will commence tonight ;)
The ladies at her work want her to start 'selling toys' again....lol...so there is more income.
BondoSpecial 04-06-2011, 11:32:59 AM Not a big deal. How about you trade mikey something he wants for his iroc then trade the iroc to me. That would solve several problems in one shot
rscamaro73 04-06-2011, 11:41:28 AM Prolly don't have anything he needs...lol. But I imagine the IROC is worth more than the 'bird...hmm...who's getting ahead here ?
