Look at the back of the block for the Date Code.

Ok..I have pulled the motor and these are the numbers I found on the back of the block...3970010......can anyone tell me what they mean?...Please..:-)..Thank you...:-)

That the part #. You need to find the date code at the back of the block.

The first digit will be a letter:

A = January
B = February

The next two digits tell the day of the month the block was cast

The last digits tell the year it was cast.
