What kind of information can I expect to receive if I contact GM Canada regarding documentation on my 73 z-28? It is a "Canadian" car, (sold new in Canada). The original dealership it was ordered from is just down the road, any chance they would keep records that far back?

When I was at the WCA show in Ohio this summer, I was talking with one of Scott Settlemire's assistants and the subject of GM having all the buildsheet information for Camaros came up. He made reference to some undergroung storage in Pennsylvania that had all of this information. Of course he also mentioned the time and cost that would be associated with trying to make that information available to the public...

The underground storage is train box cars, parked inside a cave like protected area.

Whoops. What am I talking about?

I just contacted GM Canada in Oshawa ,Ontario ,Canada. Talked to a gentleman who said he would send me documentation on my car for a 45.00 fee. copies of build sheet, export numbers, original selling dealership, etc. But I think this service only applies to cars built or sold in Canada. (eg.- my car was built in Ohio, then shipped to a Canadian dealership. so all paper work is available from GM Canada)
