What would 1976 build sheet option "M38 3spd CBC tran" be - a TH250 or 350?

M38 is a turbo-350, it was the only type of automatic trans used in the '76's regardless of engine size. Chris

Thanks Chris - now the stupid question; could I use this behind behind a healthy 454 or am I asking for failure? Can't afford the 5/6 speed solution at the moment so if I can get away with it for a year - great. and if it is possible - would the torque coverter have to be swapped out for a larger unit? It's hooked up to a inline 6 at the moment. Thanks for the help.

A properly built TH350 should hold up used behind up to 450 hp of street use. I'd BUILD it if you wanna do lots of strip runs...

Or, you can go find yourself a late 700R4!
