Can anybody tell me what the above clutch fan fits. Did it come out on a '71 Z? Did all '71 Z's come with a clutch fan? Thanks for your help.

Let me check the magic books (where the heck are they anyway).

70-72 Z28's did have a Clutch type fan. I think some 72 did not. Let me look into it. I will try to get back to this today.

The closest number for clutch fan shown is #3976065,
for 71 all w/sp h/per 350, monte 454, monte,nova,camaro w/a/c.
Your #3976064 could be for pontiac,buick or olds?

I cannot find that number in anything. I had a friend of mine that works for GM look it up and it does not come up at all. Maybe it can be found in an older database.

Sorry I'm late. Closest I found for this number is a 3976065, which is a 7 blade fan for '71 Camaros, with a 307, 350(245 & 270 HP), or 396(402). It was also used in Chev. Pass. cars for 1970 with the 454 390HP engines, the '70 Chevelle with the fan clutch, '70 Monte with the 454 option, and '71 Monte's, Novas, and Ventura II's with the 7 blade fan option. Hope that helps somewhat, although my book says that if it's a Z, it had a 7 blade clutch fan (but I've been wrong before).
