I have a 73 Z28, trying to get registered in NM from CA title.... DMV inspector says need two VIN #'s but can only see the dash VIN....the door has been painted over..... UGH!!
They will give illegal aliens(immigrants whatever...) drivers license but they won't let me register my made in the USA car?????

I am not sure if they will print your VIN on the decal, but it is worth asking them.

If not, you can remove the heater/air conditioning cover on the firewall for the hidden VIN.

lacamaro you will have to remove the heater blower fan and a partial vin is stamped on the firewall. You may have to remove the inner fender to access. Its not to hard to do if all the fasteners come loose.

CRAP!!! This Z was ordered with A/C but it does have the A/C delete cover so it will be a bit easier.......

You may want to try removing the blower motor 1st and shine a light in to check the partial vin. You may not need to remove the full case.
