Rearaxle #’s: 254333 on drivers side, CM32 or GM32 on pass.side (upside down, facing forward)
Can anyone help decode this?

CM = 3.42 POSI, the numbers that are there im not sure about, you should have another number, i think

I think you have gotten the numbers from the center section of the rear you need to get the number from the axle tube pass. side.

I find PS and 2PS to be 2.41 posi rears. My Camaro listings all show PS, but I think Firebird has the 2PS code for the same rear some years.

I'm not sure about earlier years, but the 2PS code indicates that it is also a posi unit. Is that correct for the 1970 year?
