but now i'm having my doubts... just a warning, i'm very new to engine building and i'm in the midst of a swap... i pulled an engine that i thought was a 350 (i was told so by the owner)... but now i've found some numbers that make me think otherwise...
Left Rear of Engine - GM5.0LG (My biggest suspect)
Left Rear of Engine - J076
Right Rear of Engine - 14898627
Manifold - GMCFM 14014432
some of these numbers may be off, they were kinda hard to read... i think i already know the answer, but i just wanted a second opinion... thanks...

well, here's the next part of the confusion... the manifold code (14014432) says that it is a 1981 aluminum intake for a 350ci engine... can you put this intake on a 305?

It's obvious the 5.0L = a 5 liter V8, or .7 liters short of 350 cubes. The 5.0 liter is of course a 305.
And yes, you can put any small block intake onto any small block motor. That's a common intake, most likely, you got an LG4 engine, a 305 4bbl from a 80's Camaro (or Z28).
