I was going through my build sheet and noticed I originally had an optional 3 spd transmission...so I went to MadMike's '78 spec sheet to identify it and it's not there. So, what is an M38 (option #), is it just a TH350 ? Was the Powerglide the standard tranny on a Sports Coupe ?

Yes, M38 is a TH350. Powerglides were last available in '72 (at least in Camaros).
