Alright guys, I have a choice of two different rear ends to buy for my '73. The first is a 3.23 8.5" with a large yoke.

The other is a 3.36 8.2" w/small yoke.

Does anybody have an idea which one is gonna work for my car?

Thanks,
John

You mean the flange, right? I think the yoke is for the transmission. Maybe I'm wrong....
How many splines are you running on the pinion? I don't think it matters which yoke you get, as long as you don't plan on changing out the ring gear without checking the splines. You might want to check to see if your u-joints fit onto the flange, though, so you don't have to buy an adapter.

If you have a choice between an 8.5 and an 8.2, by all means, take the 8.5!!! It doesn't matter what rear end yoke you have, a driveline shop will be able to fix a driveshaft to fit your rearend. The 8.2 is a very weak rear, and if your 73 came with a 10-bolt, it was an 8.5. The last year for the 8.2 in a Camaro was 1970.
