Well here's an engine that I can not find the code for. Am told it is to be an LT1.
The front pad # is K1109T4U (What I have so far is K= St.Catherines, Ont. Built on Dec. 9th, can't find the T4U??) It's a 3970010 cast block.
Heads are 3991492 and pistons are TRW 336744.
Did they ever assemble LT1's in St. Catherines plant? Thanks for any info.

look for the date/year code off the passenger side rear of block should be a letter and a couple numbers . could that be a k instead of a 4 ? this is probably a truck block all truck engines suffix's start with a t and cars a c after 1970.

Are you sure it is a 4, and not an A ? The TAU code is a ' 70 350-255hp engine out of a truck. It should have a 010 block.
