I need to find out if this is the original rear axle in my 71 Z28
Its hard to read because its only partially stamped but here's what it looks like
GC GO182 V

Is it possible that the code is CG instead of GC?
CG is listed as a 3.73 Posi for 1971, and that would be the standard axle in a Z28.

Yes, its very possible that its CG, like I said, its only partially stamped, only the top half off the letters are there.
