I have a question for all the rear end experts out there.

I have a 76 Camaro with I believe the original rear end. It is a 10 bolt with I believe to be a 4.11 ratio.

I have a chance to purchase a limited slip rear end that came out of a 2000Chevy Blazer. It is complete with housing and shafts. It is a 10 bolt rear and I was told that the ratio is a 3.74.

My question is since both rears are 10 bolt, can I remove my ring gear and pinion assembly and install the limited slip into my axle housing?

Not all 10 bolts are the same size ring gear, and a truck limited slip does not equal a car limited slip.

Is it a ZR2 blazer or not? Looks like some had 7 5/8" and the ZR2 got an 8.5

The second gen Camaro got the 8.5 10 bolt with 28 spline axles. The S series trucks got the 7.5 10 bolt unles it had the ZR2 package or a 4.3 with a 5 speed transmission. These trucks had the Governor Lock differential, which is not desirable for performance use. They also have 30 spline axles, so the differential will not work with your axles. If it is the 8.5 rear end then you can use the gears, but that's about it. If it's the 7.5 rear end then you can't use any of it.

Nope. The 70 Camaro had an 8.2 ring gear. At least mine did.

The 8.2" 10 bolt was last used in 1970. All 1971-81 Camaros have the 8.5" 10 bolt rear end.

Yes, I know that, but that wasn't important in this case. The OP is comparing a '76 F body rear end with a S truck rear end.
