i have a set of rebuilt heads i am going to put on the vega, they are the 57 cc chambers heads from a 305. the lower end is just a plain stock 73 350.if the cam plays part in it, it is an isky .480 lift.so what will it run for compression ratio ?

i have a set of 58cc heads from a 305 HO on my 350 and i figured i'm right around 11:1, the cam i'm running is a comp cam 270H magnum which has .470 advertised, i'm no expert someone correct if i'm wrong but thats what i think

I have NO experience w/this, but have researched it a bunch because I am contemplating putting my 305 heads on a smogger 350. You would need info on your pistons(dish, flatop, etc.) to determine you CR.

use this calculator to figure out your static and dynamic compression ratio

yeah i should probably add in that i have flat tops with 5cc valve reliefs, if yours are stock pistons or domed than that would effect your CR a lot, check and see what they are and that will help people on here give you a better idea
