If I was building a good street/strip rear end for a '70-'81 Camaro I would use the 8.5 10 bolt. I would put a 30 spline Eaton posi and 30 spline Moser axles in it. I would also weld the axle tubes to the center casting and use a T/A cover on it. I would use a good installation kit with Timken bearings and a good US made set of gears. The gear ratio would depend on the type of driving that the car would see most. This set up would be good for a car running close to a 10 second quarter mile with a automatic transmission. C clip eliminators would be needed at this level, but I prefer the weld on housing ends that take the 9" Ford axle bearings. These require special axles, but I think they are much better than the C clip eliminator kits.

How about this way,
8.5 10 bolt- you already have it
Eaton 30 spline posi-$348
Moser 30 spline axles-$258
Axles for 9" bearings$400
Ring & pinion-$150-$190
Installation kit with axle bearings-$117
T/A cover-$150
C clip eliminators-$150
Moser housing ends-$70
Labor-$200-$300
You would only need the $400 axles if you use the Moser housing ends for the 9" Ford axle bearings. You could also use the cheaper installation kit without axle bearings for $89 because the bearings come with these axles.
The C clip eliminators would be for the $258 axles.
The labor would depend on which parts you decided to use. The price of the ring & pinion would depend on the gear ratio and manufacturer.

That is getting close to the price of a Dana 60 rear.
