Going to go look at a used TH400. Any tips I should know about when looking at a used transmission that is out of the vehicle? I don't want to take it apart (I'll take a look inside the pan, but that's about the extent of it), and I am going to be rebuilding it soon in the future, so worn out soft parts don't really matter.

All I can think of now is check if the input shaft moves freely, make sure the case isn't cracked, make sure there aren't BIG metal shavings in the pan, and all bolt threads are intact. I am going to be paying special attention to the cooler line threads.
