My t-10 in my 80 z28 just died and I am getting a new one.. Just wondering how many splines a fine spline input shaft has and how many a coarse spline does... I have had mine off a few times and just am not sure if it is fine or course... thanks guys

As far as I know, all 77-81 T10s used in Z28s should be the fine spline tranny.

Muncies were coarse spline (input=10) until sometime during 1970, and fine spline (input=26) that.

Coarse spline trannys use TH350 style output (27 spline) shaft, and fine spline ones use TH400 style (32 spline).
