I currently have a T-56 behind a vortec head/rpm intake/XE268 setup in my '81z. I'm currently in the works of redesigning the engine with all new parts to accept a procharger. I'm looking for around 750hp. I love the t-56, but will it hold up? will i need the 200-4r? i've seen the twin-turbo vipers hold up, same tranny. and other blown camaro's and corvettes. will this baby hold in my supercharged combo? i also have 4.10 gear......got 22mpg towing a motorcycle on trailer with a holley dp on my current setup hehe....

They work on the 4th gens like that...so I guess it shoudl work for you...for a while...unless you're drag racing it ALOT...or boosting it up AND using nitrous....in that case, you'll want to find some steel shift forks http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
