what oil pan and pick up for a gen V or VI 454 in a 1974 camaro. I will be using the small block clamshell mounts guess i need engine mounts also or can i use the stock 454 engine mounts.
Just a thought since the small block is knocking and I have this engine sitting here waiting for a home.

This is what you need. The kit has pan, 4 main cap bolts, gasket, pump screen, dipstick, and tube. Think I seen it for $155 through gm parts direct. When I was lookign at a gen vi I researched all this and got a book too. It has lots of useful part numbers.

yeah i looked at this on pace performance parts. I all ready have the 454 and it would cheaper to swap the engine from the 350 to the 454 than to build another 350. I all ready have merlins heads. now looking at roller cams.
thanks

any pics of the correct pan. I have one on the 454 out of the 95 3500 truck but its a GM goodwrench and some literature says its a 4 qt and will fit our cars and chevelles but dont want to get it in there and have the wrong one.
