i have a 1980 camaro with the buick 231 v6 in it and i was wondering if i took the 231 and 350 tranny out would it be posible to put the 3800 with the 4l60e tranny along with all the other stuff out of the 4th gen ie wiring harness and ac stuff... basically i know its possible to do it but how difficult and how much custom fab would be needed to do this swap?

I guess the real question here is: Why would you put a V6 in a camaro when a SBC would be much cheaper?

If you want to put a v6 put a motor from a pontic GTP which has a supercharged engine. Unless you are going to put a turbo on your car.

i was planing on doing a turbo something similar to this motor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Wp1MbNp-8 but not nearly as much right away, and a v6 would be a nice daily driver motor as the 3800 gets over 20 mpg around town while a v8 would get maybe 14

Do a search, there is a fair amount about 3800 swaps on the site. One guy, forget who, is using a Holden 3800 or something like that.
