hey everyone, i havent been on the site in a while, got really busy with school and all lol, well now that its warm out i noticed my car is starting to dog a little bit, my dad and i timed it as close to 8 degrees ATDC as we could get it, and she is ALOT more responsive, and we fooled with the choke, however we have no idea how to set the fuel/air mixture, this is our 1st project car so we're clueless to alot of things, i know what screws do what, im just not sure what to correct setting would be for best performance, its a 350 i believe 4bolt, dont remember, non original but it has the original 4bbl quadrajet with big fat secondaries =D

Are you talking about adjusting the choke or overall tuning like jets, rods and such?

I've accumulated these for Qjet users. http://www.nastyz28.com/~copo/qjet.zip

I hope you meant 8 BTDC (before top dead center)

Get a vaccum gauge to help set the mixture - it will also help spot other things (vaccum leaks, valve issues) that can affect the idle mixture setting

HA! i did mean BTDC lol wasnt thinking clearly, and where could i get a vacuum gauge? never heard of it and how does it work lol i think i heard a vacuum leak the other day, but it could have been the carb sucking in air, and it doesnt run like it has a leak, but i wouldnt be surprised.
