Hey Todd. What size is the VDO speedo you have in your car and did you have any problems with it?

It's a 3 3/8" speedo. No problems at all. I put it in, did the calibration thing according to the manual, then tweaked it following another car. I've since put in a slightly different pulse rate to get it dead-on with a handheld GPS.

It's been installed since early '96. There's about 6000 or so unaccounted-for miles on my car.

I forget what the specific series was, but it was the closest look I could find to the stock gauges. One of these days, I'll do a complete package in behind the dash. Money and time, ya know- I happen to have neither. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

Did you use the stock speed sensor in the T56? I like the way it looks in the dash thats why I want the VDO speedo. I don't wan to swap all the other gauges out either just the speedo and the tach.

Yep, plugged it right into the T56 sensor. I have part#s for the plug on the projects page on my website.

I put in a VDO 'Series 1' electronic speedo (runs off a hall effect adapter on the original cruise module) years back in preperation for eventually putting in a 200-4r (which I did a couple years ago) and upgrading the diff (which I'm doing); and tach & oil pressure gauge. Put the OPG in place of the broken clock, rewired everything, drilled holes and hot glued LED's for the brights indicator and brake light, and voila...
