I have a 350 turbo trans in my camaro. When I’m driving in a normal pace it shifts though the gears very fast. Why does it do this?

Do you have steep gears or a high stall torque converter in your car?
My 80Z w/4.10 gears & 3500 stall would immediately be out of 1st gear... I'd feel it shift once, into 3rd gear. It did this pretty quickly, unless I was into the gas, then it would hold each gear for a couple seconds longer (while the occupants were pinned in the seats) http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

my TH350 was doing this, because the kickdown cable was adjusted wrong. At WOT, it would shift at just over 3000 RPM. And normal driving was crappy too. The kickdown cable should be fully extended at WOT.
