Hey guys, I just picked up a 3.42 posi rearend out of a 74 trans am. Im wonderin If i can expect a good difference in excelleration from the 2.73 gears. I hope so! and also could anyone tell me my rpm change at 60 mph?? right now its at just over 2000. thank you!

I went from 2.41 to 3.42. Its definately a night and day difference. I had a 305 with a mild cam and exhaust at the time I swapped and it really woke it up. RPM will really depend on tire size and transmission, but I was at around 2000 at 65 and went to about 2800 after the gear swap. Hope this helps. Have a blast!
