I haven't had my car up to speed with the newer rear in it, but the driver side tire wobbles on the jack stands. The passenger side doesn't do it and I switched tires.
Is this a bent axle or could it be a bad bearing? There is a little bit of up/down play in the axle but I dont think it is excessive.
Also, I noticed that there is some slack between when I turn the axle and the posi unit. What does this mean?
The splines dont looked mangled.

Sounds like the axle is bent. The slack is probably just all of the clearance between the axle splines, axle gears, pinion gears, case and ring & pinion.

I have good to a machine shop, so maybe I can test it myself.
How much axle bend is within spec?
Its a 7.5" 10 bolt, if that matters.

my friend had wheel wobble but it was from the weights on the drums.....it off set the rim on that side...rim didnt sit flush up against drum....
to check to see if its the axle just pull everything off and put the car in gear on jack stands and see if the flange is the problems might be drum ........or something else....
takes alot to bend and axle like that...did it once sliding around on ice....did a donut to many times and hit a curb......that bent it......
