I am using a 350 out of a 78 Chevy motorhome for my 78 Maro. It still has the original van engine upper clamshells. Are the engine mounts different between the camaro and the van? I still have the lower half from the camaro in the sub. I can't get engine to settle onto the lowers. It's off by a good 1 or 2 inches. I have the original maro clams somewhere, should I start looking for them?

I would get the others. They may be offset for the motor because its in a van.Might sit back further. Also, maybe a quick search on rockautos website for the mounts then cross reference.

WOW! Never been to them before but I LOVE their parts catalog. And ALL the Chevy motor mount are the same from 72-99 so I will have to get some local help.

I went through the same thing. The ones from the motor home will not work. I used the engine out of a van and there is a noticable difference in the clam shells. If you can not find them Mr. F Body had a set for sale. I got mine from a camaro yard in south Florida. The dealer wants over 100.00 each for them.
