Is it an electronic pressure gauge or mechanical? marc_b 03-04-2010, 08:50:25 PM You need an Isolator "The Fuel Pressure Gauge with Isolator allows interior mounting of the gauge, without the danger of routing a line containing fuel into the driving compartment. This is accomplished by plumbing the isolator into the fuel system between the fuel pump and the gauge. The line between the fuel pump and the isolator is filled with fuel, while the line connecting the isolator to the gauge is filled with an incompressible non-flammable fluid. When pressurized, the fuel bears against a diaphragm inside the isolator, which transmits the pressure through the line connecting the isolator to the gauge. The corresponding fuel pressure is then displayed on the gauge." http://www.britishracecar.com/DonMunoz-MGB/DonMunoz-MGB-CC.jpg marc_b 03-04-2010, 08:51:38 PM An Isolator is for a mechanical set up bigblock665 03-04-2010, 09:49:05 PM An Isolator is for a mechanical set up So all an isolater is for is incompressible non-flammable fluid reservoir to pressurize the gauge so fuel never enters the interior right? CorkyE 03-04-2010, 09:53:04 PM So all an isolater is for is incompressible non-flammable fluid reservoir to pressurize the gauge so fuel never enters the interior right? Yep, You got the idea... :) bigblock665 03-04-2010, 10:13:40 PM Yep, You got the idea... :) Wow what a good idea! lol safety 1st!
