I know a few of you are running this trans. How's it fit, how's it run. I saw one of you had a hughes brand take a dump...how did that work out for you ? Thinking of getting one of these instead of rebuilding the th350.

I run a 700r4 (non eletronic version) in a 68 short C10 and really like it.

Just for further background/history- it was a 700-R4, then a 4L60 (actually the same transmission- there is overlap on a number of GM units- i.e. a TH-400 has also been known as a 3L80), then the 4L60E ('E' for electronically controlled)- all basically the same. That being said you can search the topics/archives to see what people have found about the 700-R4 and it's all applicable to the 4L60/4L60E.
