View Full Version : Got my car in a mag, but wrong year listed
marc_b 03-04-2010, 12:09:54 AM I has always been a goal of mine to get into a car mag. The only bumer is the wrong year got listed on there web site. At least the article itself in the printed mag didn't have wrong year listed on top. I emailed Henry, hope it's not to hard to change on thier site.

brooksman9 03-04-2010, 12:46:43 AM I read that whole story a couple of times trying to figure that out. Looked like the first car you had was a 74 and they never listed the year of the second. Nice ride!
ronald66 03-04-2010, 01:59:22 AM wow!!!thats a dream car for me...

XxWickedz28xX 03-04-2010, 01:31:59 PM Nice ride! Dont sweat them messing the details, hopefully they correct it for ya.
marc_b 03-04-2010, 01:55:46 PM Alright, they corrected the year. Didn't want people to think a did a whole big bumper swap from a 74. That's a bigger job then I would want to take on.
Silverblue75 03-04-2010, 02:28:13 PM how do those seats fit? height?
marc_b 03-04-2010, 03:12:36 PM how do those seats fit? height?
I'm 6'2" and with the mounting brackets that came with the seats my head would hit the headliner. Was able to cut the mounting brackets and shorten them down to about the same hight as a stock seat.
70ish camaro 03-05-2010, 10:50:23 AM awesome car! congrats on the magazine spread. question-who made your hood, what size is it and is it fiberglass or steel? i like the way it flows.

Is this what you are talking about? "It was then he found a '74 Camaro (http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/featuredvehicles/1004chp_1971_chevy_camaro/index.html#), straight body and a straight-six motor"

That's funny when I read the article(before this post) I though that exact thing. I thought you had a '74 and changed it to look like a '71. NICE car BTW!!!
Still has it in the text portion though.

the title had it as a 74 camaro before. I see what your saying about the text part. My original camaro was a 74 then got totaled, then picked up this car in trailer park back in 99.

It's a glass hood from unlimited performance products and is 1.75". Quality is ok, had to do alot of work to get it straight. http://www.up22.com/camaro70.htm#top

Those look like Procar Rally seats. Same ones I put in my 79. Im also 6'2" I modified the stock seat brackets and they look and work great.
Sweet Ride Man! Congrats on the magazine shoot!

I found these two photos that included part of the under side of the hood. If you need better ones let me know.
