took my engine/trans out of my camaro this weekend, non-original. Some good surprises, 461 2.02 heads, 4 bolt block, no ring groove, muncie(65) in good shape - bad news rings seem to be stuck (sat for 23 years) and couple rods move on crank-ouch! Puzzling part is the bellhousing-no numbers, 5 bolt holes for trans mount ?, and pivot ball mount which is directly inline with dowels and in a boss about 1-1.5 inches back from mating surface, differs from the 621 bellhousing I have which has pivot ball mount near mating surface, slightly above dowel and only 4 bolt holes. Whats this bellhousing out of and what the hell is up with the 5th bolt hole, above and centered on housing. Any ideas?
