It's been covered thousands of times on about every auto forum on the internet.

Search is your friend.

Mechanical will work fine. Remember though pumps are rated free flow so you need a pump that flows 60 GPH at your running fuel pressure. That will likely put you in the 110 gal advertised free flow range as a ballpark. I safe calced it at 600 HP, .6 BSFC.just to be safe.

electric are great if you like the constant sound of a drill in your ears.

This is true, especially with vane pumps, gear pumps are much quieter. Mechanical is usually a simpler set up.

+1

The holley 170gph is nice.. I have used it. I am using the Holley Ultra HP 200gph mechanical now, but you will be fine with 130-170gph.

I dont know why people on this site are getting too annoyed with questions. Im sure nearly every question has been asked once or twice on this website in the past 11 years. A search could answer them all. If you dont want to help, DONT post! This "search" attitude is getting old. Help the guy out or keep to your self! Gosh!!

Keep in mind that the search function on this site often returns a blank page. For example a search for "Fuel pump" returns a blank page right now - no error message, just an absolutely blank page. This problem is described in a Sticky but I doubt too many newbies would find that.

I offered to donate more memory or even a new server for this forum, but haven't reached the right person yet.

I thought the whole point of a forum was to help the other guy with his question.

I believe the search function has been improved. Good news! I encourage those who have been ignoring it to use it.

You are correct,
but when the question has been answered on the same forum within the last week, it becomes redundant.

Being that the OP is obviously pretty new to NastyZ28, we could/should have cut him some slack.

However there are some members who abuse the board by not doing a search, posting elementary questions repeatedly, etc when they should be experienced enough to know better and internet savvy enough to know how to do a search.

I personally don't have issue with answering even the most basic question, but I believe the "asker" should have the courtesy to do a search first and not just expect it to be answered.

Otherwise,
to the OP. Welcome to NastyZ.

A search for "Fuel pump" still returns a completely empty (no error) page.
I have contacted BonzoHansen and MadMike to offer my help. My IT company retires good servers after 3 years and one of these might be more capable than what this forum is hosted on.
